By now most people know they should bring a bag with them for purchases. Plastic bags are out of style. Some people keep small bags with them, in there purse, pockets, briefcases. Some think ahead and bring Backpacks or other reusable bags with them when going out to shop. What about when you just grab something from the Corner store? I like to carry these small items in my hands. If I don't have a bag then everything is in my pockets and my hands are free. We do have thumbs for a reason. There is a something great about telling the cashier "I don't need a bag..I'll carry it." Sometimes those little shopping bags do come into the house. Most of us use them for trash bags, or if you have a dog "doggie bags." They end up shoved in a drawer or under the sink. With summer here the perfect solution comes with it. Everyone has a pair of pants that can be made into a new pair of shorts. Its easy to put a drawstring through the bottom hem of the pant leg. Then fold over the top and sew a top hem. Add a strip of fabric to hang them from, and boom, problem solved. Just stick the bags in the top and pull them through the bottom. Even decorate them as you wish. Dogs for the doggies, tools for the one in the garage, even match your kitchen. Then with this homemade plastic bag holder you can reuse your plastic bags in an organized way.
